Baltimore County of Parks and Recreations, Cockeysville, MD

Nearly 200 commercial real estate professionals from throughout Maryland gathered to lend a helping hand to Baltimore County's Department of Parks and Recreation on the afternoon of Friday, April 21.

NAIOP-MD's Community Service Project 2006 brought these professionals together to build over 75 picnic tables at a record-setting pace. Including WBAL-TV's news anchor Kate Amara, volunteers completed the tables in under an hour and a half, including 15 ADA-standards tables. Following this worthwhile work, volunteers gathered for a picnic supper.

If you missed this event, make sure to register to attend NAIOP-MD's Building Green for Sustainable High Performance Real Estate on May 4. If you want to learn more about the emerging green building industry and how it could affect your bottom line, you won't want to miss it!

A measuring tape, such as the one pictured, was provided to all volunteers courtesy of Merritt Properties.
Jim Alloway of Merritt Properties was a one-man table building show.
