Washington, D.C. – The National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP) recently announced the new educational topics for its innovative Webinar series. The series offers convenient, cost-effective industry education via computer on a vast array of topics relevant to professionals involved in commercial real estate.

The upcoming Webinar schedule is as follows:

Case Studies for Implementing Successful Green Development
Thursday, May 17 - 1 p.m. (EDT)
This session provides participants with specific case studies by leaders from successful development projects and presents strategies that can be transferred to any project. The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) will facilitate this session, and provide updates on current LEED® programs.

The Investment Outlook – How Much Longer Will We Be Wearing Rose-Colored Glasses?
Thursday, July 19 - 1 p.m. (EDT)
We’ll examine the office and industrial property sectors with a primary focus on the national trends in occupancy, rent and investment demand. The session will conclude with a ranking of regional investment opportunities based on a series of forward looking indicators and investor risk tolerance.

Real Estate Finance
Thursday, August 23– 1 p.m. (EDT)
This session will illustrate how projects and real estate investments are capitalized and present an overview of the entire capital stack, along with various sources of financing. We’ll also explore the ways successful deals are deals are completed in a competitive environment and explain the fundamentals of underwriting.

Webinar participants come from all sectors of the commercial real estate industry and include office, industrial and mixed-use developers, owners and investors, among others. The series has proven to be a cost-effective means of continuing education, as multiple participants from one location can access a Webinar session and pay only one registration fee per site. The number of participants per session has more than tripled since the program’s inception in 2006, due to the convenience of Web-based learning and the diverse course topics presented by industry experts.
