NAIOP-MARYLAND CHAPTER UNVEILS
"DEVELOPING LEADERS" MEMBERSHIP PROGRAM

Program targets professionals under age 35

The National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP), Maryland Chapter, has unveiled a new "Developing Leaders" membership program that targets young professionals involved with or interested in entering the local commercial real estate industry. The membership, which provides the complete spectrum of benefits and services available to the general membership, is open to individuals 35 years of age and under at a reduced annual cost. Additional information and an application can be received by contacting Dianna Wilhelm, the membership chair for NAIOP-Maryland at 410-880-6242 or dianna@wilhelmbe.com. This information is also availabe on this Web site at http://www.naiopmd.org/becomemember.htm.

The "Developing Leaders" program offers a full membership to NAIOP-Maryland for $175.00 annually, as compared to the cost for a principal member involved in real estate ownership, asset management or development that runs $920.00 per year.

"We are looking to the future and realize it is essential to attract young professionals that can continue the traditions, activities and programs of our chapter to the benefit of the entire real estate industry," explained Dianna Wilhelm. "We hope this short-term discount will entice and attract high-energy men and women that are passionate about making a difference in the regional marketplace to give our organization a test drive.

"In exchange, we offer an array of educational and networking opportunities that will allow these future leaders to meet, glean information from and gain a different perspective about the real estate industry from veteran owners, developers and service providers," Wilhelm added.

The "Developing Leaders" program is a relatively new phenomenon nationally, with only a few chapters pursuing the initiation of this affiliate membership.
