Manekin, LLC completed construction of McGaw Plaza in early 2007. McGaw Plaza is a two-building, 5.5-acre Restaurant Park developed on the site of a former automobile dealership in Columbia, Md. Designed by Bignell Watkins Hasser, the project comprises a variation of metals, bricks and synthetic stucco in a harmonious color palate. The colorful materials and special overhangs were used to provide a rich scale and view synonymous with Columbia. McGaw Plaza is an excellent example of an infill redevelopment that transformed a vacant car lot into an architecturally handsome development that provides a fresh menu of restaurant options to support the adjacent suburban office and flex buildings by day and is a gathering place for nearby Columbia residents at night.
