Richard Ellis, Inc.
BGE Home, a wholly owned subsidiary of Constellation Energy,
occupied four separate locations totaling 101,000 square feet
of space. The Corporate Headquarters located in Columbia housed
it's executive team and the company call center. Three additional
locations around the Baltimore region housed warehouse and operations
functions. BGE Home envisioned enhanced efficiency by combining
their operations into one facility. The challenge was to find
the optimal facility at a location that was convenient for their
employees and effective for their operations and a property
that could be in place in tiime to coordinate with the leases
expiring at their four existing locations. With the assistance
of CBRE's Gil Hutzler who coordinated an initial review of 25
possible locations in Northern Baltimore County, Harford County,
Anne Arundel County, Baltimore City and Howard County, an ideal
facility was found at the new construction project Baltimore
Crossroads @ 95. BGE Home was able to consolidate their 101,000
sf to 55,000 sf in the new location well suited for their company
heqdquarters, exectutive team, call center, and distribution
and operations needs. |
