Proceeds from NAIOP-MD's 2006 picnic table building event, the associations annual community service project, were donated to the CollegeBound Foundation of Baltimore. The check presentation took place in mid November at Port Discovery in downtown Baltimore with many association and community members attending to witness the honorable occasion.

A check for $5,000 was presented to Dr. Craig E. Spilman, Ph.D., Executive Director of the CollegeBound Foundation by NAIOP Community Service Committee members Nancy Farrell, Scott Manhoff and Greg Masi.

The Picnic Table Building Project serves as both a community service project and a fundraiser. This year's event was a success, with commercial real estate professionals and local community members working together to build over 75 picnic tables for Baltimore County's Department of Parks and Recreation. Proceeds from the annual project are donated each year to a local organization that is educationally oriented.

The CollegeBound Foundation is an independent, non-profit program designed to work exclusively with city students to help them achieve a post-secondary education.
