2011 Community Service with Living Classrooms.

NAIOP Maryland has a strong tradition of giving back, earning three Chapter Merit Awards for Community Service from NAIOP on the national level. And we’re not stopping now!

Our past award-winning community service projects included work with House of Ruth, Living Classrooms and Youth Empowered Society (YES!).

  • 2002: Supported improvements to the House of Ruth, a leading intimate partner violence center in Baltimore City by generating more than $650,000 worth of in-kind donations, including new windows and an HVAC system.
  • 2011: Partnered with Living Classrooms to build over 20 picnic tables and 30 floating wetlands for their Masonville Campus, supporting environmental restoration in the Inner Harbor.
  • 2016: Originally planned to benefit Living Classrooms’ Patterson Park Youth Sports & Education Center, the event pivoted to also support the Youth Empowered Society (YES!) – giving volunteers the chance to make twice the impact.

NAIOP Maryland continues to create hands-on service opportunities that benefit the greater Baltimore community.

Join us Friday, May 2, 2025 at Guinness Open Gate Brewery as we team up with the USO to assemble 2,000 care packages for service members abroad.
