Lawrence F. Maykrantz

Lawrence F. Maykrantz is President and Chief Executive Officer of St. John Properties, Inc. He began his career with the company as Controller in 1982, as its tenth employee, and has since held multiple leadership roles, including Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer. In 2011, Maykrantz was promoted to President and CEO.
Throughout his tenure, Maykrantz has played a pivotal role in establishing and maintaining St. John Properties’ highly disciplined financial model. He oversees all the daily operations of the company nationwide and helps guide the firm’s strategic growth. Under his leadership, the company has developed more than 25 million square feet of commercial space and currently manages assets across 13 states nationwide. It also has investments in more than 3,000 residential units.
In recognition of the company’s sustained excellence and impact, St. John Properties was named the NAIOP National Developer of the Year in 2018.
In addition to his corporate responsibilities, Maykrantz serves on the Board of Advisors for the University of Maryland Medical System’s Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center, is an active member of NAIOP Maryland, and serves as Chairman of the Edward St. John Foundation
Mr. Maykrantz holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and an MBA from the University of Baltimore, and he is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Maryland. He and his wife, Donna, are the parents of three children, Lauren, Sean, and Ryan, and proud grandparents to three grandchildren.
