Baltimore, MD (September 7, 2011) – Brendan Gill, Vice President of MacKenzie Management Company, LLC, has been selected to receive a national 2011 Developing Leaders Award from NAIOP, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association. Mr. Gill, a member of NAIOP Maryland, the local chapter of the national trade association, is one of fifteen commercial real estate executives – chosen from professionals aged 35 years or younger across the country – to receive this recognition.
Candidates for the Developing Leaders award were evaluated on various levels including professional competency and accomplishments, career goals, education, participation in NAIOP, community involvement and overall merit. Mr. Gill will receive the award at a ceremony at NAIOP’s Annual Meeting next month inScottsdale,Arizona.
As chair of the NAIOP-MD Community Service Committee, Brendan organizes community service projects for NAIOP Maryland members. Brendan also serves on NAIOP Maryland’s Legislative Committee and the chapter Board.

As Vice President for MacKenzie Management Company, Mr. Gill works to manage retail, office, medical office and flex commercial buildings for the MacKenzie portfolio and third-party owners. In addition, he has developed or acquired more than 900,000 square feet of commercial real estate.
NAIOP Maryland has more than 330 members and is comprised of individuals working for real estate development companies, brokerage firms and affiliated companies such as financial institutions, architectural firms and engineers.
