Local panel to feature representation from national and regional financial institutions and capital markets groups 

Baltimore, MD (November 15, 2010) – NAIOP Maryland will sponsor “The Capital Stack,” an examination and discussion of the capital markets environment and  the expected implications on the commercial real estate sector. The program is scheduled for Wednesday, November 17 from8 amto10:30 amat theSheppardPrattConferenceCenter, located at6501 N. Charles StreetinBaltimore. It has been approved for two hours of continuing education credits from the Maryland Real Estate Commission. 

Joseph Burke, Executive Vice President of NorthMarq Capital will serve as the moderator and the panel will be comprised of Spencer Levy, Senior Managing Director in Capital Markets, CB Richard Ellis; Lacy Rice, Co-founder and Managing Partner, Federal Capital Partners and Richard Van Steenbergen, who works in the commercial real estate sector of Hartford Investment Management.

Topics to be addressed include: the availability of local capital sources and programs; intermediaries and lender behavior; underwriting and opportunities; and a discussion of the national picture on distressed commercial real estate.
