NAIOP Maryland’s annual Holiday Luncheon, scheduled for Friday, December 12 from 11:30 am to 2:00 pm, will feature former Baltimore Ravens center Matt Birk as the special guest speaker. Birk, who compiled a fifteen-year career in the National Football League, including four with the Baltimore Ravens, is now Director of Football Development for the NFL. The luncheon will be held at the Four Seasons Baltimore.
Birk’s presentation will discuss “living with more confidence, passion, stability and focus.” He will quote sections from his book “All-Pro Wisdom, The 7 choices that lead to greatness,” which will also be available for sale at the NAIOP Maryland event. Birk graduated from Harvard University and was received the “2011 Walter Payton Man of the Year” Award. His responsibilities with the NFL now include “attracting, growing and developing the pipeline of people that will eventually work in the NFL, from players to executives to front office personnel.”
“I get a rush out of public speaking, and believe I have a powerful message to convey,” Birk explained in a telephone conference call last week. “Baltimore remains one of my favorite towns and I will always maintain extremely fond memories of my time spent there.”
All attendees are encouraged to bring winter clothing to benefit the residents of Paul’s Place, a community center supporting the needs of Pigtown residents.
