NAIOP Maryland’s 2025 Board of Directors includes an array of industry leaders from diverse specialties within the commercial real estate sector.
KLNB Principal David Fritz, CCIM, SIOR and Jennifer Hearn, Director of Development, MAG Partners, have been elected to the NAIOP-MD Board of Directors for two-year terms. In addition, Merritt Properties’ Elizabeth Allison and Jannine Hayes of Knott Realty Group were elected to serve second terms.
The changes became effective January 1 following the member vote taken at the Holiday Party in December.
“NAIOP Maryland has assembled an extremely diverse, talented, and resourceful group of professionals to serve on its Board of Directors and, together, we remain resolved to tackle the ongoing challenges faced by the commercial real estate industry,” said Kate Jordan, Principal, Lee & Associates | Maryland, who begins her second year as President. “The commercial real estate industry is among the most important contributors to Maryland’s growing economy, and it is essential to speak as one voice to protect the interests of our more than 400 members.”
Joining Jordan on the Executive Committee are: Sean Doordan, St. John Properties, President Elect; Scott Wimbrow, MacKenzie Commercial Real Estate Services, Vice President; Christopher Nevin, First National Bank, Secretary/Treasurer; and John Hermann, Immediate Past President, COPT Defense Properties.
The remaining Board of Directors include: William Barroll, COPT Defense Properties; Kate Nolan Bryden, MRP Industrial; Karen Cherry, Prologis; Matt Laraway, CBRE; Tom Pilon, St. John Properties; Kristi Smith, Howard Hughes Holdings; Michael Tait, St. John Properties; and Michael Trail, MCB Real Estate.
Nicole Smith of Plano-Coudon Construction exited the board after serving for six years. She will continue in her role as co-chair of the bi-annual Awards of Excellence Committee and chair of the Community Service Committee.
“My involvement with NAIOP Maryland has played an immeasurable impact on my career,” Smith said. “This includes new relationships formed, important information gleaned, and valuable perspectives gained. Joining the organization and becoming integrally involved with programming has significantly expanded my commercial real estate knowledge and instilled confidence in me professionally.”
In 2015, Smith was recognized by NAIOP Corporate as a National Developing Leader.
“Nicole is Exhibit A of what can be accomplished by becoming involved in NAIOP Maryland,” Jordan said. “Although she is exiting the board due to term limits, she will remain a key contributor to our organization.”
