Nicole Andrews, Morgan Gilligan and Jon Manekin have been named Co-Chairs of the NAIOP Maryland 2014 Awards of Excellence Committee, a competitive awards gala organized every two years by the local commercial real estate trade organization. Last year, sixteen separate local companies and seven individuals were honored with thirty-two awards at the event that attracted more than 400 professionals to the Hyatt Regency Baltimore.

Nicole Andrews, Business Development Manager for ECS Mid-Atlantic, LLC is responsible for selecting the venue for the Awards Gala, assisting with the overall organizational logistics of the program and oversee marketing strategy. Morgan Gilligan, Vice President and Senior Business Development Officer for Stewart Title will secure corporate sponsorships and manage marketing and sales of tickets to the event. Jon Manekin, Leasing Representative and Asset Management for Corporate Office Properties Trust will solicit award submissions and organize the associated property tours of projects under consideration for the awards competition.

Examples of project awards presented at the bi-annual Awards Gala include Best Adaptive Reuse, Environmentally Friendly Award and Best Historical Retail Renovation. A sampling of individual awards include Brokerage Award, Rising Star Award and Lifetime Achievement Award.

“Our Awards of Excellence program represents the most significant event we organize, based on the overall scope of the project, the number of volunteers engaged and the positive financial impact to our association,” explained Dianna Wilhelm, President of NAIOP Maryland. “Because the program is essentially three organizational activities wrapped into one, we choose a triumvirate arrangement that would allow each professional to assume complete ownership. Nicole, Morgan and Jon are each highly-respected professionals that bring creativity, passion and energy to every assignment and we have tremendous confidence in them.”
