NAIOP Maryland, the local association serving commercial real estate development firms, owners, investors and related companies, has reached the 400 membership mark for the first time in its more than thirty-year history. NAIOP Maryland was elevated to Large Chapter status two years ago when membership eclipsed 380. NAIOP Maryland is part of the fifty-five chapter network throughout the United States and Canada.
Thomas Hinder, Leasing and Marketing Coordinator, Mid-Atlantic for Prologis, has been identified as member number 400. “I was initially recruited to NAIOP Maryland by Kate Jordan of Lee & Associates who convinced me to attend several Developing Leaders event,” Hinder explained. “My colleague, Danielle Schline, who now serves on the Board of Directors for the organization also became a strong advocate for joining. I always feel a strong sense of community when attending events. Everyone works together which is a comforting feeling. By becoming a full-fledged member, I can elevate my involvement by participating in committee work.”
Meghan Roy of The MacKenzie Companies and EJ Edeman of Colliers International serve as Co-Chairs of the NAIOP Maryland Membership Committee.
“Among NAIOP Maryland’s many goals is to consistently bring Maryland’s commercial real estate industry together to improve the local business environment and the condition of the surrounding communities,” Meghan Roy stated. “Connections made through membership are invaluable and continue to flourish and pay long-lasting dividends.”
“This number was achieved due to the hard work of many people, with special credit going to past Membership Chairs Taylor Fields of Knott Realty Group and Dianna Wilhelm of Wilhelm Business Enterprises,” EJ Edelman said. “Our members are extremely active through participation on committees, involvement with legislative issues, and pitching in with community service projects. This creates a sense of pride and a positive experience for all involved.”
