NAIOP Maryland has selected Emily Brown, Engagement and Connection Specialist with American Office, as Chairperson for the commercial real estate association’s Ambassador Committee. NAIOP Maryland has more than 370 members and is comprised of individuals working for real estate development companies, brokerage firms and affiliated companies such as financial institutions, architectural firms and engineers.

The role of the Ambassador Committee is to welcome new members, promote all NAIOP Maryland events through the use of social media vehicles; arrange introductions between new members and current ones; and help facilitate the transition of new members into various elements of the NAIOP platform. The committee, which works closely with the Chapter’s Membership Committee, is comprised of eight other NAIOP Maryland members that assist Ms. Brown.

“We realize that entry into a new professional organization can sometimes be difficult without the help and guidance of current members,” explained James Knott, Jr., President of NAIOP Maryland. “Our Ambassador Committee has proven to be an effective method to make professional introductions at our networking events and integrate them into our organization with committee recommendations. Emily represents the perfect candidate to lead this committee given her warm, approachable personality and enthusiasm for NAIOP, along with her wide-ranging contacts in the commercial real estate industry.”
