Baltimore, MD (October 29, 2012) – Taylor Fields, Leasing Representative with James F. Knott Realty Group, has been honored with a national 2012 Developing Leaders Award from NAIOP, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association. Mr. Fields, a member of NAIOP Maryland, the local chapter of the national trade association, is one of thirteen commercial real estate executives – chosen from professionals aged 35 years or younger across the country – to have received this recognition.
This marks the third time in the past four years that a NAIOP Maryland member has won this award. Brendan Gill, Vice President of MacKenzie Management Company, LLC, was honored last year, and Alex Kopicki, Principal at Solstice Partners LLC received the honor in 2009.
Candidates for the Developing Leaders award were evaluated on various levels including professional competency and accomplishments, career goals, education, participation in NAIOP, community involvement and overall merit.
As chair of the NAIOP-MD Membership Committee, Mr. Fields organizes and executes strategies to identify, attract and retain members of the association. He also served as Co-Chair of the chapter’s Award of Excellence program that recognizes developers and vendors for innovative achievements in the regional commercial real estate marketplace. Mr. Fields was honored with the “Rising Star Award” at this event.
“Taylor is an extremely valuable and passionate member of NAIOP Maryland and this national award exemplifies the dedication and investment of time that he continually provides for our Chapter,” explained Dianna Wilhelm, President of NAIOP Maryland. “He has the unique ability to motivate and influence people, and serves as the definitive role model for young professionals interested in making a meaningful difference within our Chapter and the local community,” she added.
NAIOP Maryland has more than 375 members and is comprised of individuals working for real estate development companies, brokerage firms and affiliated companies such as financial institutions, architectural firms and engineers.
NAIOP is the nation’s leading trade association for developers, owners, investors and other professionals in industrial, office and mixed-use commercial real estate. Comprising 16,000 members in 55 chapters, it provides networking opportunities, educational programs, research on trends and innovations and strong legislative representation.
